I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland, currently offer integrative psychotherapy for individuals age 18 and above. A trauma-informed framework is central to my practice and an ongoing learning experience. An important part of my role as a therapist is supporting clients in finding greater connection within themselves and the world.
My therapeutic style has evolved from working in multiple levels of care and with individuals of diverse backgrounds and identities. Here are some ideas central to my practice:
We are all out here doing the best we can with the tools we have. Some of us did not get the tools and experiences we really needed early in life, and had to survive somehow.
The body, mind, and spirit are connected and act together to form our system. Therefore, the most profound healing occurs when they are addressed at the same time.
Just like every seed holds the capacity for growth under adequate conditions, every person holds the capacity for change when our needs are adequately met.
Western culture tends to discourage true embodiment and authenticity. Finding these things for ourselves is a radical act.
Other than integrative experiential therapist, some roles of high value in my life include goofy partner, lifelong learner, and psychodrama community member.
